At the age of 18, completely by chance, he caught the adventure bug during a trip to Australia where he discovered the unique experience of survival and self-sufficiency. An explorer ever since, he is constantly setting his ambitions even higher, seeking out more independence, more space, and more contact with a world which his life in the city had deprived him of. After Mongolia and Alaska, Eliot set out on a four month solo crossing of the Himalayas to encounter the last nomads on the planet. The aim of his journey, a genuine degrowth walk, was to accomplish something he had barely touched on before – a solo, self-sufficient expedition without any objects from the modern world which are slowly destroying nature.
