Cédric Gras and Matthieu Tordeur set out to cross the largest mountain glacier in the world, the Fedchenko in the heart of the Pamirs, to bear witness to the reality of this totally forgotten area. It takes a week of walking at an altitude of 4000m, crossing glaciers, passes and dangerous rivers to reach the shores of the giant glacier, 77km long, whose mass alone represents one and a half times that of all the glaciers of the Alps combined.
With a Tajik team, led by Anatoli, a famous Tajik guide, the only one to know the route, they will trace a path and come across unsuspected difficulties.
Since the first expedition in 1928, nothing has changed, nature has remained intact and sometimes hostile.
